Mycodog’s Clarity Clinical Trial
Mill Creek Veterinary Clinic is excited to participate in a clinical trial designed to improve the health and quality of life for senior dogs. This innovative study aims to explore natural therapies that could provide relief from the challenges that aging dogs often face. We are dedicated to supporting the health and happiness of every pet we care for, and this trial is an exciting step forward in our commitment to improving our senior pets' quality of life.
CCD is a common concern among older dogs, manifesting as disorientation, memory loss, and changes in behavior. In recent years, Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) and other medicinal mushrooms have shown promise in supporting cognitive health. The test product, Clarity, combines Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Bacopa monnieri, and Ashwagandha—each known for their neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties—into a blend aimed at slowing CCD progression.
This study will enroll 12 senior dogs showing signs of or at risk for CCD. Through owner observations, regular behavioral questionnaires, specialized blood assays, and 24/7 monitoring via a wearable collar, the study aims to quantify Clarity’s impact on cognitive function and quality of life. The collar will track key activity levels, sleep patterns, and provide continuous data for a comprehensive assessment of behaviors typically associated with CCD.
To be considered for enrollment in this study, your dog must meet the criteria on the right.
Please note: Enrollment in this study is limited, and not all eligible dogs will be selected.
If you believe your dog meets these criteria, please contact using the contact form to inquire about the enrollment process.
